NEW: Maserati Quattroporte Automatic Choices, Choices, Choices…

The most eagerly anticipated and talked about sedan of model year 2007, the Maserati Quattroporte Automatic has been introduced to the press and the public at the 2007 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. By offering an automatic transmission as well as the DuoSelect manual gearbox in all three Quattroporte models, Maserati ensures that every discerning car enthusiast can find the sport sedan that fits their personal needs. With even more standard features than before, it’s simply a matter of personal choice.

QUATTROPORTE AUTOMATIC
And what a choice! The new Automatic can be described in superlatives, the most compelling of which might be its class-topping redline, its track-capable handling, and its unfettered sports car characteristics unique among automatic sedans, but it is really a story of the tailor-made singularity that has always helped define the Trident’s cars. No other performance automobile manufacturer has listened so closely to owners and admirers, and proven so able to broaden its range while maintaining its sharp focus. The Quattroporte Automatic is a high performance sport sedan that extends Maserati’s leadership in standard features, dynamic capability, and pure driving enjoyment.

QUATTROPORTE DUOSELECT
Alone in its class, the Quattroporte Automatic offers a rear-weight balance which provides optimal handling, and a huge edge over its competitors. Because the DuoSelect Quattroporte has been justly recognized since 2003 as the best-handling sport sedan in existence, able to best a V10 BMW M5, Maserati engineers made it a priority to package the custom-made 6-speed ZF automatic ideally for real sports car grip. Athletic balance is the reward, and Maserati’s incredible stability program, interacting with the Skyhook adaptive suspension, the Brembo brake system, the new transmission, and the sensational Ferrari-engineered 4.2ℓ 400bhp V8, still delivers class-leading handling and performance, meaning the driver can fully enjoy and appreciate the massive 339lb-ft of torque provided at just 4290rpm, converted and controlled brilliantly by the new transmission.
Like other controls the hallmark Maserati steering is razor sharp, a brilliant match to the new smooth-shifting 6-speed automatic transmission. If the driver desires, this revolutionary design can hold a gear to an unheard of 7200 rpm before shifting, and power on to 168mph. Try that in a German sedan? You can’t. Nor can you brake to a stop in the same distance as a Ferrari Enzo, or shorter than a Bugatti Veyron, as you can in a Quattroporte. You can also shift a Quattroporte Automatic for yourself, via the console-mounted stick and inviting column-mounted paddles. Maserati believes the choice should always be yours.
Strictly limited production means that the curvaceous Quattroporte will remain exclusive, and the 2007 models reward you with a host of features as standard equipment, including heated front seats, the HomeLink communications system, cabin-mounted CD-changer, power sunroof, rear park sensors and metallic paint which is the envy of other manufacturers. Options abound too, and Maserati’s envied personalization program helps ensure that owners have precisely the car they want, a singular work of art in the parking lot rather than yet another example of Teutonic banality.
Quattroporte, Sport GT and Executive GT Automatics will be at authorized Maserati Dealers across North America this spring. Dealers will have vehicles available to test drive by February 1st. Contact your dealer to schedule a test drive and be among the first to drive one, and make the right choice.
