Maserati Monthly Accessory Focus:
410 Park Avenue

Last year saw Maserati introduce the GranTurismo, the award-winning sports coupe which combines great performance and handling with startling practicality. Now, the Maserati Corporate showroom at 410 Park Avenue, in New York City, has the 2008 Collection of Maserati accessories, many of which are inspired by the GranTurismo.

If you want to proudly display your allegiance to the new coupe there is the ubiquitous baseball cap – except that few baseball caps are this tasteful. In the classic Maserati blue, the GranTurismo logo is stitched in silver thread across the front, while on the side is a small Italian flag. More discreet are the cufflinks; fashioned from rhodium-plated silver, they feature an elegant reproduction of the GranTurismo radiator grille, complete with the famous Trident.

For the ultimate in practicality, consider the winter jacket. Available in both mens’ and ladies’ styles, it is made of waterproof blue nylon with Alcantara detailing; the buttons feature the same GranTurismo grille design as the cufflinks. On the left breast the Maserati logo and the Trident are embroidered in dark blue thread. Rather less practical, but no less impressive, is the 1:10 scale model of the GranTurismo. Skilfully crafted from aluminum, the model is strictly limited to just 200 examples – the perfect addition to any executive desk.

The Executive Paperweight in the Maserati Collection would be another excellent desktop accessory. Made of rhodium-plated metal, the circular paperweight is an impressive 3 ½ inches in diameter, and features the famous Trident logo in the center, surrounded by dark blue enamel. And to emphasize your affinity with the historic marque, there is the Maserati “Executive” shirt – an elegant men’s shirt in 100% double-twist cotton, with the Trident logo discreetly embroidered tone-on-tone at the top of the breast pocket, putting it right where it should be – close to your heart.
