Maserati Hosts Columbus Citizens Foundation Raffle Win a Maserati, Help Educate Deserving Kids
For the second consecutive year Maserati is joining with the Columbus Citizens Foundation (CCF) to offer the most desirable raffle prizes for any enthusiast of performance, luxury, and the finer things in life. This year, the annual charity raffle which benefits the Columbus Citizens Foundation Scholarship for education of elementary, secondary and college students in need, is offering two first prizes in a pair of distinct raffles. One raffle is for a 2009 Maserati Quattroporte S and only 400 tickets will be sold for this prize. The other raffle is for a 2009 Maserati GranTurismo, and only 300 tickets are on sale for this prize. The odds of winning in either raffle are therefore unusually high. The cause is uncommonly good, and tickets for each are only $1000.
On September 23rd, Maserati North America hosted a kick-off cocktail party for this year’s raffle and for the annual Columbus Day celebrations. At its 410 Park Avenue Showroom in Manhattan, Maserati welcomed a selection of guests including Francesco Maria Talό, Italian Consul General in New York, Lawrence Auriana, Chairman of the CCF, and Luis Tallarini, CCF President. Each of these distinguished guests gave brief and eloquent speeches extolling the beauty and desirability of the great Maserati prizes and their demonstration of Italian technical and manufacturing prowess.

Of even greater importance, each spoke about the cause: providing a good education to children and young adults of ability and in need. The CCF Scholarship, which is already providing aid to over 850 such students, is another vital plank in the bridge to a better future. Implicit, as well, is the fact that the CCF and its scholarship does excellent work in recognizing and maintaining the strong and special bond between Italy and America. Maserati is, of course, proud and honored to participate in this valuable undertaking.

While enjoying some fine hors d’oeuvres and cocktails the invited guests admired and learned about the 2009 Maseratis in the showroom, and fifty raffle tickets were sold on the spot. Guests were also reminded that the second prize for each raffle is round trip business class travel for two to Italy, that the drawing for the 2009 GranTurismo will take place at 11PM on October 11th, 2008, during the Annual Columbus Gala at New York City's Waldorf-Astoria hotel and that drawing for the Quattroporte S will be made at 9PM on October 17th, 2008, in Grand Central Terminal's Vanderbilt Hall.
