Omas Pens

Officine Alfieri Maserati was founded in Bologna in 1914; over almost a century, Maserati name has become synonymous with elegant, luxurious cars, the epitome of style and craftsmanship. In a different sphere, the same can be said for Omas, which was also founded in Bologna; Armando Simoni set up the company (Officine Meccanica Armando Simoni) in 1925 to create some of the finest and most technically advanced pens. Now, we are proud to announce that a collaboration between the two Bologna native companies has resulted in the Limited Edition ‘Omas for Maserati’ fountain pen and rollerball.

Each pen is created from 925‰ silver, and has been designed as a clever interpretation of the elegance and sportiness of Maserati, while incorporating the craftsmanship and exclusive stylistic details of Omas pens. The top of the cap is ovoid, with a representation of the Maserati front grille. The clip flows away from the top, as if sculpted by the wind; and on each side, Omas has skilfully engraved the three iconic ports found on the front fenders of the GranTurismo and Quattroporte.

Remove the cap, and the nib holder is engraved with the classic oval, containing both the Maserati name and the famous Trident logo. The nib of the fountain pen is made from 18K rhodium-plated gold, and bears the Omas name. Each pen comes in a handsome case – in Maserati blue, naturally; the interior of the lid bears the classic Maserati front grille, and the case also holds the collector’s booklet.   

The pens are available in a strictly limited, numbered edition – 1,200 examples of the fountain pen, 714 rollerballs, making a total of 1,914 to commemorate the year of Maserati's founding.  Each pen fits in the user's hand with the confident comfort of a Maserati steering wheel, and they work with the same smooth aplomb known to anyone who has felt a Maserati handling the road. Prices for the pens range from $2,750 for the rollerball to $2,950 for the fountain pen.
