Maserati and Architectural Digest partner to find the best garages

At the point where car enthusiasts, great design fans, and home improvement gurus meet lies the heart of our personal transportation life: the garage.  It’s a home for those most exciting, dynamic and expressive of possessions - our cars.  At Maserati Monthly we have long known that the passion center of a house is the garage – it’s where our owners keep their Maserati!  This Spring Maserati and Architectural Digest join forces to bring you DESIGN DRIVEN, a unique call-for-entries, honoring the garage by searching for America’s very best – and it could be yours!

There are two categories in the partnership, one for existing garages, and one for garage concepts.  All entries will be judged on design, layout, individuality, uniqueness, and their ability to complement a fine Maserati automobile.  In addition, concept garages will be judged on their vision for the future, and existing ones on their architectural significance.  Entries can be made, viewed and voted on at www.maserati.us/DESIGNDRIVEN. 

Go to the site right now and submit  your amazing garage, or your concept of a fantasy automotive space, and you could win one of two exquisite prizes through Architectural Digest, the authority on design.  The best existing garage will win its owner a coveted place in the pages of the October 2009 issue of Architectural Digest: it will be photographed by Architectural Digest and featured within a special Maserati advertising section, as well as receiving extensive coverage on the DESIGN DRIVEN Web site.  The best concept garage will be created as a large scale architectural model to be unveiled by Maserati at the 2009 LA Auto Show, after which it will tour Maserati dealerships nationwide.  The winners will be announced in June.

Submissions begin on March 10th and are accepted through June 1st, 2009. Each week entries will be posted on the site, and everyone can vote for their favorite designs and garages beginning on March 16th, 2009.  Each week a new selection of designs and garages will be available for voting, with the weekly winners competing in a June runoff for the People’s Choice.
