When Maserati offers a driving school, it provides genuine performance and leaves students with a sense of lasting accomplishment rather than the ephemeral echo of an experience. The school's location is elemental. The Master Maserati Driving School is based at Road Atlanta, a facility whose reputation for performance and excellence mirrors Maserati's. This is one of America's most storied tracks, and perhaps its finest sports car circuit. Road Atlanta is located in the rolling, verdant hills near Braselton, Georgia, convenient to Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.
Seeing it every year on TV as the American Le Mans Series Petit Le Mans endurance event unfolds gives only a hint of what the track is actually like. It is fast and very challenging. It is clear that the drivers respect and love it, and that cars are tested by it. Master Maserati students will also be thrilled by it, and the Maserati Quattroportes, GranSports, Coupes and Trofeo racing cars have passed every test.
Road Atlanta is a 2.54 mile, 12-turn road course with multiple elevation changes and unusually good flow. It is a traditional track built to make use of the geography and topography of its location. In contrast to the flat, featureless, sterile tracks of many performance driving schools, Road Atlanta is a living circuit whose novelty never wanes. The course boasts some of racing's most technical corners, and a long back straight that allows extremely high speed.
Especially with the guidance of Master Maserati's superb team of instructors, it is relatively easy to pick out the racing line. It is a joy to perfect, where so many teaching circuits offer only frustration and boredom. Road Atlanta is a nonetheless demanding and nuanced course that rewards driver concentration and technical expertise with smoother and faster laps. The consummate professionalism of Master Maserati's instructors, all accomplished race drivers and teachers, helps even the most confident driver, who will spend much of the course solo in a Maserati GranSport, getting the very best from it and themself. Once proficient at Road Atlanta, the Master Maserati graduate will feel confident at any other track.

First opened in 1970, Road Atlanta has hosted numerous motorcycle and open wheel races, but it is most famous as a sports car track. SCCA, IMSA and legendary CanAm races have all been held at Road Atlanta, developing its reputation as a real driver's course. Unique among high-performance manufacturers, Maserati allows its students to learn at the same facility where numerous racing legends hone their skills. Perfectly suited to powerful, well balanced Maseratis, Road Atlanta proves the adage that smoothness equates to speed. Aggression and heavy feet are not rewarded so much as light, careful, deliberate inputs. The forgiving nature of Maseratis allows students to be aggressive, but as the instructors develop their talent, nimbleness comes to the fore. For this reason, the skills learned at Master Maserati are directly applicable to the street.
Road Atlanta is one of America's most comprehensive motor sport facilities. As well as its road course, there is an autocross track, a massive skid pad, and acres of open space for lane change, avoidance, braking, and slalom courses. At every station, rest and refreshment facilities are available for students. Additionally, the tower on the front straight contains a comfortable suite that serves as the Master Maserati seminar, dining, and refreshment room.

While attending the two-day Master Maserati course, students reside at Chateau Elan, and are chauffeured to and from the track. The luxurious resort, closely tied to Road Atlanta, offers world-class spa and golf facilities, swimming, tennis, an equestrian center and eight fine restaurants. Gourmet food and healthy refreshments are included at both the track and a dinner in which students and their guests have a chance to socialize with each other and the instructors. Partners who accompany students on the two-day course but choose not to attend the Master Maserati course are accommodated for only $250, with access to Chateau Elan's spa. Combining extra days with Master Maserati, attendees can delight in all the attractions, or participate in a memorable corporate retreat.
